About Us & XE
The XE brand has been in The Townsend family since April of 1925, when Jakes Great Grandfather acquired the brand due to a debt unpaid. XE now belongs to our family and we hope to someday run cattle with the XE brand on them once again. We live in the same exact town in the same exact county that it was being used in 95 years ago. Please help us live out this wild dream of ours, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for coming by and hearing our story.
I'm originally a Michigan native.I grew up a water kid, living just a few blocks away from Lake Michigan. I tried my hand at college and without great success felt it was time to look elsewhere. I was looking to get out of the city, to live a quiet and simpler way of life. So I did my research found a job at a cattle ranch in a place called Big Horn, Wyoming. I loaded up my Pontiac Bonneville and off I went at 23. I had never been to Wyoming, and knew nothing about it. It was a total chance or I tend to think, a God thing. As soon as I showed up for my first day of work on the ranch I met a Cowboy name Jake, and the rest is history.
Jake and I married in 2015 and welcomed our little cowgirl Eleanor in 2018. Our life is truly beautiful and feels like such a blessing from God. We live at the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains. The goal here is for me to share my wholesome, handcrafted, heartfelt, unique goodies to you all. And in return you'll bless us and help us start chipping away at our dream.
